Kanye & Gaga Cancel "Fame Kills" Tour

NEW YORK — Kanye West and Lady Gaga's tour is over before it began.

Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious tour that was to kick off next month, the tour was canceled.

Live Nation announced the news on Thursday. The tour promoter says refunds will be issued.

The name of the tour was to be "Fame Kills."

The cancellation comes on the heels of negative publicity for West. He is still feeling the heat for hijacking Taylor Swift's award-winning moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

That's pretty stupid. I thought the GaGa/Kanye tour sounds really attractive.

OMG that video (and the song) sucks! I'm very disappointed in Hype Williams who is normally known to make decent videos.

Keri Hilson Interview on Today Show

It's quite funny seeing Keri on the Today Show as they sorta dissed her when Neyo visited them but here she is:

I didn't know about the Kanye thing. That explains why there were 2 different versions.

The Kanye/Taylor Swift/Beyoncé Drama

I guess yall have heard of what happened last night in New York. Here' the video of Kanye being disrespectful to the young girl Taylor Swift.

Later when receiving an award Beyoncé shows what humble and genuine person she is.

Bee really saved the night with this action.

After the show Taylor Swift said:
"Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award. And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn't so excited anymore after that. [...] They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn't really know what was going to go down but I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she's always done. She's always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she's always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn't love Beyonce more tonight, than tonight."

Thanks to the medium called twitter many many celebs had to let out what they felt about that.

Kelly Rowland: Can someone tell me what the F just happen??????
I LOVE Kanye and I LOVE TAYLOR, and OF COARSE I LOVE B!! But NO ONE should have a moment taken away from them....
NO ONE!!! It's room for everyone........KANYE...WHY BOO???
And I know B is SO gracious, she was TRULY happy for Taylor!!!! Taylor that was your moment, don't let ANYONE, I don't give a F who they are
Don't let them take that away from you!

Michelle Williams: OMG Kanyeeeeeeeeeee! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Oh Jesus Take The Hennesey Bottle AND The WHEEL!!!
Goodnite folks! Beyoncé was absolutely gracious for what she did! That's the God in her! Goodnight!

Pink: "Beyoncé is a classy lady.I feel for her, too.Its not her fault at all, and her and taylor did their thing. And douche bag got kicked out. HA"

Pink: "Kanye west is the biggest piece of s**t on earth. Quote me."

Kelly Clarkson:
Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

On a side note, Beyoncé has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!

KC Smile

Kelly Clarkson wasn't classy either with her childhood comment. So not needed.

Concerning me I clearly agree that Kanye was an idiot for this but let's be honest: Award shows live from things like this. Without them it'd be boring and we had nothing to blog/talk about.

Anyway: Congrats to all the winnners.

Review on Jay-Z's Blueprint III

Hova is back with his long-awaited third part of his Bluprint series.

So let's go back to the year 2001 in which the first Blueprint dropped:

You sure remember Bonnie and Clyde feat. his wifey Beyoncé from "The Blueprint²" too. I remember me and friends sitting on the beach jamming to this song. And it was even in 2007 lol.

Let's switch quickly back to 2009 - the year of the Blueprint III.

"What We Talkin' About" (featuring Luke Steele)
This very first piece of music starts very epic and keeps its dramatic tone during the whole song. Personally I think there is too much going on in this song especially in the instrumental which makes it one of the songs I don't really like.

"Thank You"
This song is really hot. The beat is banging.

"D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)"
That's the song that made T-Pain hate Jay-Z. Hova's message is so right though. Auto-tune can go away.

"Run This Town" (featuring Rihanna and Kanye West)
Everybody knows this song since it features the hottest ones in the bizz right now. I absolutely love this song. Btw, it went #1 in the UK.

"Empire State of Mind" (featuring Alicia Keys)
My favorite song off the album. Alicia Keys and Jay-Z, both New Yorkers, sing about their home town. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of/Theres nothing you can’t do/Now you’re in New York/these streets will make you feel brand new/the lights will inspire you
I didn't expect them to work together so well but they did a fantastic job with this. The oldskool sound is something to look forward since they will be performing this track at the 2009's VMA.

"Real as It Gets" (featuring Young Jeezy)
By listening to the first minute only you might think this is a Young Jeezy song because Jay appears just after that. Song is good.

"On to the Next One" (featuring Swizz Beatz)
Swizzy produced a beat similar to "A Milli" or "Diva". Definitely hot.

"Off That" (featuring Drake)
I like that one a lot too. I only think that Drake sounds so replaceable. Blah @ him.
Plus the beginning reminds me so damn much of the intro of Black Eyed Peas' intro for "The E.N.D.".

"A Star Is Born" (featuring J. Cole)
Also a great track and many people seem to love this one. Jay basically goes through a list of known rappers and "applauds" them.

"Venus Vs Mars"
The first leaked version featured background vocals by Cassie but they were replaced by Beyoncé's vocals for the actual release. Hot song.

"Already Home" (featuring Kid Cudi)
Rising star Kid Cudi did a good job on this. I like it.

"Hate" (featuring Kanye West)
I have no idea why this song is short, it belongs also rather to the weaker tracks.

"Reminder"
Good track, the background vocals "reminder" are really great and fit.

"So Ambitious" (featuring Pharrell)
This track is basically about being more motivated after people say you can't do this or that anyway. The song is aight.

"Young Forever" (featuring Mr Hudson)
Mr Hudons sings in this song parts of Alphaville's classic "Forever Young" and it sounds like his voice was amde for singing this song. I like this one a lot.

So as you have read most tracks have gotten a good review from me.
That's why I can say that Jay-Z produced a great album. It's definitely better than his previous works à la "American Gangster" or "Kingdom Come".
So I definitely recommend you to take a listen.

The Blueprint III is in stores now.

Drake working with Justin Timberlake, Andre 3000 & Sade

Collaborating with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem apparently is not enough for Drake as he is now hitting studio with Justin Timberlake. The Canadian rapper revealed the matter in a phone chat with DJ Drama on Hot 107.9 radio, adding that Timbaland is part of the collaboration.

In addition, Drake shared that his first studio album "Thank Me Later" will have contribution from Sade and OutKast's Andre Benjamin a.k.a Andre 3000. "I'm trying to make this song happen, man, It'd mean the world to me. I'm trying to make this happen for my album. It'd be me, Andre 3000 and Sade," he said.

"I know that I have to carry the majority of the weight by myself," Drake explained further as quoted by MTV. "The features have to be carefully picked. I could call on every favor that's owed to me or to everybody that's reached out and said they wanna work. But that may be a silly decision on my part. Because I don't wanna take away from myself carrying my first album. So that record [potentially with Andre 3000 and Sade] is something important to me."

"Obviously [I'm gonna work with] Wayne. I'm out here really trying to get something special with Justin. Hovito [Jay-Z], we might need to get him. The track on this album was a real catchy joint. But people wanna hear us rap together. That's one of my goals, to have that track with me and Jay. Maybe don't even have a hook, maybe. Have just like you haven't heard him in a minute, just going bars for bars. That might be something you'll hear on the album."

"Thank Me Later" is tentatively scheduled to be released near Valentine's Day in 2010.

A Sade collabo is so unexpected. Could be very interesting.

Video: Jamie Foxx - Digital Girl (Remix) feat. The-Dream, Drake & Kanye West

I don't like it. It lacks creativity and I don't think Drake brings anything to the song which was amazing in its normal version already.

I think it's hot.

I'm gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it's gay.

"I love Kanye ... [he] is my very dear friend and we are creative kindreds," she said. "It's been fun to work on the design of the tour with him — we're finishing each other's sentences.

"It's going to be one of the most groundbreaking moments in touring history," she continued. "I am sure of it."

In another interview — this one in the September issue of Out magazine Gaga made another claim.

She said she told Kanye, " 'I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I'm gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it's gay,' " she told the magazine. "'And I love my gay fans and they're all going to be coming to our show. And it's going to remain gay.'"

Gaga is just one weird person but I bet her show is fantastic.

7 Pop Stars Who Can't Sing

I came across this article by Starpulse and thought it'd be worth posting it here.

Keri Hilson

Her ridiculous tribute to Michael Jackson at the BET Awards in June sealed the deal - the girl can't sing a lick. Fortunately, the King of Pop was not there to see the painfully corny, out of breath, and off-key "tribute" to his genius. (She chanted "Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson" in the middle of "Knock You Down" and did not dance but struck random poses instead.) Keri Hilson was a behind-the-scenes type artist before the release of In a Perfect World..., writing songs for the likes of Britney Spears and Ciara. In a Perfect World, Ms. Hilson would have kept it that way.

Kanye West

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye. His most recent album brought tears to the eyes of many. What we hoped would be an emotional and insightful reflection on his life, his dealing with the death of his mother was instead a whiny, sickeningly emo lamentation over his breakup with Alexis Pheifer. It should have been awesome, it was instead pathetic. Even with the help of autotune, it was still clear that underneath the vocal manipulations, Kanye did not sing one single not on key. Our boy should stick to rapping and realize that he can't do everything well!

Cassie

The mystery of whether Cassie could actually sing or not was quickly put to bed with an embarrassingly dreadful performance of "Me & You" on "106 and Park." Since then, we have seen almost one of her on the charts, save for her thankfully small contribution on Ryan Leslie's "Addiction" last year. Her lack of talent is enough to make anyone suspicious on how she even got a record deal. It might have something to do with the fact that >Diddy was, well, Diddying her if you catch our drift!

Ciara

It is extremely fortunate that she can dance, because Ciara only sings a few notes per song. Just listen to her music. On Her very first hit, "Goodies," she sings exactly one note for most of the track. How is that possible? There is little else to say. You have to hear it for yourself.

Britney Spears

Ms. Spears is an obvious choice, being notorious for her lip-synching. Her voice is tweaked by so many computers, it is doubtful that we have ever heard what she truly sounds like. Her singing is a combination of moaning and whispering, instead of actual note hitting. But damn can this girl entertain. Her tunes are catchy and she knows how to put on a show. Though it would be nice to have a pop superstar who can sing as well as she can perform, America has accepted Britney as its favorite popstar. In the end, it really doesn't matter if she can carry a tune or not.

Madonna

Madge is another one of America's favorite popstars. She's been around for so long, but certainly not because we adore the sound of her voice. The girl could never sing. She squeaked and shrieked through her hits like "Borderline" in the 80s, and today, she can barely even whisper a tune. Justin Timberlake stole her shine in the 2008 hit "4 Minutes." Madonna's wavering voice was barely there, so much that it sounded like she was reciting bad spoken word instead of singing. In her recent single, "Celebration," she just sounds tired. Her voice is weak. Perhaps if she spent less time pumping iron, and more time strengthening her voice, she wouldn't sound as weak and wishy-washy as she does on her tracks today.

Rihanna

Rihanna is another popstar who is just a pretty face. The way she stomps around the stage makes one hope that she can at least make up for her lack of stage presence with a powerhouse voice. But alas, when she sings it sounds as if someone is holding her nose as she tries to make her ears pop.

Great and particularly true list. Whoever took the time to write this article is right.

When it comes to Rihanna's example I would have posted the incredible Hero performance she once did.

Oh, and I liked "808s and Heartbreak" a lot!

Jay-Z, Kanye West & Rihanna To Perform On Premiere Of 'The Jay Leno Show'

Jay-Z, Kanye West, Rihanna To Perform On Premiere Of 'The Jay Leno Show'

Trio will perform Jay's new single, 'Run This Town,' on September 14.

Jay-Z is surely talking about New York City in his new single, "Run This Town," featuring Kanye West and Rihanna. But unless he's got something up his sleeve, it looks like the first TV performance of the track, from his upcoming album, The Blueprint 3, will be taking place on the West Coast.

It was confirmed on Thursday (August 6) that the MC will be joined by Kanye West and Rihanna to perform the track on the premiere episode of "The Jay Leno Show," the comic's new NBC show. The show is scheduled for September 14 at 10 p.m., just a few days after Jay releases his album on September 11.

Leno will be embarking on a new stage in his career as he transitions from manning "The Tonight Show" to a prime-time variety hour.

Jay, of course, recently purchased his recording independenceafter paying a reported $5 million to secure the rights to his music away from longtime recording home Def Jam Records. The rapper inked a massive deal with Live Nation and partnered with Atlantic Records, where longtime Jay-Z industry allies Lyor Cohen and Kevin Lives will help him distribute the final album in his Blueprint trilogy.

Kanye West and Rihanna will join Jay-Z soon to shoot the video for "Run This Town," which will be helmed by director Anthony Mandler, who worked with the rapper on his clip for "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)."

I'm looking forward to this.
