Fat Joe recently spoke out about the lack of quality albums in today's rap climate and said a surprising number of rappers are incapable of making hooks for their records.
Joey Crack also said he places a strong emphasis on making all of his music sound like "hit" records.
"A lot of albums I hear these days sound like mixtapes," Joey said in an interview. "Believe it or not, a lot of rappers can't make hooks. So it's not a coincidence when you hear your favorite rapper with sampled hooks and they just don't know how to make it. It's a lot of albums that sound like f*cking mixtapes. So when I make an album, I just try to make big records and big songs and make 'em huge to where I'm just trying to make every record a hit. Even if I'm making an underground hardcore record, I'll try to put a real strong hook so it can still feel real big. I hate getting albums and it sounds like one big mixtape." (On Smash)
Fat Joe recently updated fans on his delayed J.O.S.E. Part II album and said he is considering a name change for the follow-up project.
"We worked very hard for this, October 6th, my album Jealous Ones Still Envy Part Two," Joe revealed in an interview last week. "Lil Kim on that album, Weezy on that album, Akon, T-Pain, Fabolous, Raekwon, I ain't even play that Raekwon The Chef yet. It's called 'Ice Cream Man.' Get at me...I like to think I'm better than ever...We talking about a future album, one after this. Probably no more Fat Joe, probably Fat Gangsta is coming. 360. So we just gonna go in so hard, body on that thing like just killing people. The whole joint is gonna be straight violence on that joint right there, so, look out for that. That's the Fat Gangsta, the return of the Fat Gangsta, 'Flow Joe, fat n*gga with the shotty...'" (Invasion Radio)
The Terror Squad leader's J.O.S.E. 2 was initially slated to drop on May 19th.
"I got bad news for everyone," Joe wrote on Twitter unmodified. "My album got pushed back. Monday I will have the new date!!!!!! I'm just as upset as ya!!!! CRACK!!! We pushed my album back my brother, sample clearance, you know. The album is coming late June." (Fat Joe's Twitter)
He previously spoke about the album's motivation with radio personality Jenny Boom Boom.
"The album will be in stores April 7," he promised in an interview last February. "I've just been making that hit mania...It just feels big. My first album Jealous Ones Still Envy was my biggest album and I haven't did no album to this day that I felt I made music as big as that. So I just went hit mania on this one right here. It feels great." (Jenny Boom Boom)
I'm astonished he even said that, especially with 50 cent dissing him I thought he would of learnt his lesson by now, but NOO.. he had to be a smart ass and diss other unexperienced rappers.

Dr. Dre Develops ‘Beats Audio’ Software — Debuts It With New HP Envy Laptop
Dr. Dre has done so well with his technology collaborations -- specifically his headphones line, Beats By Dre -- that he's teaming up with another electronics company for yet another product.
According to WhoooHa.com, the legendary producer has teamed up with a collabo version of HP's laptop, the HP Envy. As you can see from the photos, it features the recognizable "Beats" logo as well.

The company calls the collabo the "Mac killer," and will not only boast a sleek design, but also feature cutting edge sound. HP says the laptop will feature a "cutting-edge" sound system, named "Beats Audio," designed by Dr. Dre's sound engineers, who help develop Dre's tracks and design the Beats by Dre headphone line.
HP says: "[Dre has] ... a unique, high-performance audio software solution. Available exclusively on the HP Envy, Beats Audio offers users playing music or audio through headphones or external speakers the optimal sound experience -- the way the artist intended it."
Further details about the laptop and software were not revealed, but it's expected to hit sores on October 18th, and will retail for $1,699.
There's rumors the purchase also includes a pair of Beats by Dre headphones, but this was not confirmed at press time.

Diddy Leaves Warner/Atlantic Records
Fans eagerly anticipating “Last Train to Paris,” the new album from Sean “Diddy Combs scheduled for release this month will have to wait a little longer. Diddy has confirmed plans to leave his current label Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records where he has resided for the last five years and released 2006’s “Press Play” which sold 703,000 units to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company," Diddy said in a statement to Billboard Magazine.
Reports have Diddy set to sign with Interscope Records which is part of Universal and home to acts such as Lady GaGa, 50 Cent and Eminem.
The joint venture for Bad Boy's current roster and catalog with WMG will remain in place.
That sucked bad that we have to wait longer for Diddy's next album as I was excited for it coming out next month or so, but I guess we will also see what will happen with Diddy moving to Interscope I guess it will be pretty crazy with 50,Eminem,Lady Gaga etc on roster.

Rosa Acosta Not Engaged To Soulja Boy, Model’s Rep Clarifies Rumors
With photos of the alleged couple surfacing online, rumors began swirling that video vixen Rosa Acosta is engaged to teen sensation Soulja Boy,
A Representative for the model, who has appeared in videos for Drake (“Successful,” “Best I Ever Had”), 50 Cent (“OK, You’re Right”) and Jamie Foxx (“Blame It”), has denied the reports.
“Rosa is in LA filming the Chris Brown video,” the rep wrote in an email to XXLMag.com. “Souja Boy took her and four other models to dinner. The picture was taken for the behind the scenes section of Rosa’s website. The ring she has on is a ring her mother gave her a long time ago. Rosa being engaged is false.”
Soulja Boy reportedly appears in the Chris Brown video, as he collaborated with the singer on the track.

The BET Hip Hop awards are announced, I decide not to post all of it, but you can check out the source if you wish but I posted the ones which might be in popular discussion(well for me it is) otherwise feel free to comment what you may think.
For me(Lyricalist of the Year) I'm not sure of Lil Wayne and Kayne but Drake with all his mixtapes going on may be hot, Em's lastest album from his few years break and Jay Z with his lastest album recently released. And DJ's I'll let you all probably discuss about that or on any other cateogries.

Diddy On Bad Boy's Success, "We Still Know How To Make Hits"
Diddy recently spoke on the factors behind keeping his Bad Boy Records successful after nearly two decades and why artists like he and Jay-Z remain relevant as they approach their 40th birthdays.
Diddy also pointed out what it takes for an artist to remain popular within an evolving music industry.
"With me and Jay, you gonna have to get down or lay down anyway," Diddy said in an interview. "There's other rules to this game that you gonna have to abide by. At the end of the day, we understand. We understand the importance of telling the truth. If you're just getting into the game, you're probably telling a lie anyway because you're telling somebody else's game. If we still here, we're still here because we're telling the truth. Number two, we have relationships, and number three, we still know how to make hit records. That's what this thing is about. You could be five years old, 70 years old -- you make a hit record, it's gonna stand the test of time. It's something the game has to get used to." (MTV)
Speaking at the Core DJ's conference in Atlanta last April, Diddy stressed Bad Boy's relevance.
"Bad Boy is important," he explained in a video. "We have not sold out and all this stuff, we trying to do these types of records over here and those, we make Bad Boy records. And that's preserving your brand, and the thing that's bigger than Bad Boy is we are the last label standing. No disrespect to the other labels, but there is no Roc-A-Fella. There is no Ruff Ryders, there is no Death Row. So if this label doesn't make it, this is the last of the labels and that means nobody else can come out with a label. Then it just turns into production deals." (YouTube)
Fabolous co-signed Jay-Z's lyrical talent and overall rhyming skills earlier this month as he heads into his 40th birthday this December.
"What's crazy is, I saw the H-O-V lane line 4 yrs but couldn't use it cuz my name aint Hov..," Fab wrote Sunday (September 6) morning. "Lol'H-O-V, got my own lane already' finally...Jay, at 40 is still @ da top of the game lyrically. Not many rappers r able 2 say that, ever. Support real hip hop, Blueprint 3 & Loso's Way..." (Fabolous' Twitter)
Diddy's company has helped oversee the careers of many urban superstars.
The biggest hip-hop impresario of the mid-'90s, Sean Combs -- known as Puff Daddy both here and in the world of rap until his professional name change to P. Diddy, then just Diddy -- created a multi-million-dollar industry around Bad Boy Entertainment, with recordings by the Notorious B.I.G, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, 112 and Total all produced and masterminded by Combs himself. (All Music)
Don't know what you guys think about this, but yea I thought it was quite interesting Diddy's label one of the last standing and would you consider Diddy a urban superstar?
