Amazing Review on Beyoncé's Show in Las Vegas

This review is the best and particularly detailed review we've received. It is really worth reading.

I made all these arrangements way back in April and I'm so glad my planning was on point. The show was absolutely sold out, and I remember some lady trying to buy tickets the day of the show, and they told her " Laugh At @ your foolishness, this show has been sold out since yesterday Cheer Up " Aww poor becky!! Dead

So yeah on to the the concert. So first of all I was very impressed with the amount of older white people who were here to see the show! I spoke with at least 2 older white couples, one couple was in their mid 40's. And they asked if I'd ever seen Beyoncé live before, because they'd never seen her. So ofcourse I told them that Beyoncé puts on a a great show, and this one is supposed to be different from all the others. So they got excited! Excited That's was cool to see, we continued to make conversation while we were in line, and I learned they were staying at the Wynn hotel. As I get into the arena and take my seat, this other older white couple was sitting next to me and they had to be about 50-65 years of age. They too had never seen Beyoncé, and asked me pretty much the same things as the other white couple. They were from Orange County California and had driven to Vegas for the weekend. They talked about how they were giving Beyoncé a try because a lot of the people from their generation of performers were getting old and it was time to see what my generation had to offer. So it was a lot of people who were curious to see if Beyoncé was worth all the hype, very interesting.

The only "celebrity" that I was able to see was Mathew Knowles Ban LMAO

So the show starts after about 45 minutes of waiting and getting everything perfect. Oh let me back up and say, it was in B's contract that NO cameras be allowed PERIOD. Her security was like the secret service!! OMG! Dead They were all in nice suits and they were EVERYWHERE throughout the audience. At one point during the show, this guy sitting behind me took ONE picture of Beyoncé while she was performing. All of a sudden a blue flashlight pointed out his location, and within 2 minutes 3 security guards descended upon him, confiscated his camera, and removed him from the entire arena!! Shocked No refund, no keeping the picture he took, just booted!!! Dead Dead I'm SOO GLAD I did NOT bring my camera in! Dead

That is also why I couldn't tweet during the show, like I intended to do. My blackberry would've been too bright and I would've had to whoop some A. Not a good look. LMAO

So yeah the band starts playing some music that I eventually recognize as "Hello" and they were awesome ofcourse, the stage was so intimate, so small, and the lighting effects were off the CHAIN!

All of sudden, I look to my left, and lo and behold, there's Beyoncé!!! Excited She's walking, and singing, coming down the EXACT SAME ISLE that I did!! Excited She's singing "Hello" and greeting people to the left and right of her!! Excited Amazing!! Excited

She was sooooooooooo fine!!! OMG! So she's ripping Hello and she makes her way down to the stage. She gets on stage and finishes the song "Gotta FEEL YOU! And Be You NEAR YOU!!" Excited Then she ends the song by singing "Hello" to us as her way of introducing herself. Already the older white people next to me where like "Oh my God her voice!! She's beautiful!! I'm so GLAD we came! Excited "

Now I can't remember the order of all the songs so forgive me, but I'll do my best to re-cap them. So I believe after she did Hello, she went into Halo which she killed, then Sweet Love by Anita Baker. Then she did If I Were A Boy, which became "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrisette, which she KILLED Alanis' version, and I don't say that lightly because Alanis goes HARD!!

Ok I don't want to just give a set list because you can find that online; let me just say that the climax of the show for me was the Acoustic slowed down version of Sweet Dreams with the harp. That was the first climax, and the ULTIMATE climax was "That's Why You're Beautiful/The Beautiful Ones" Excited Excited

I'll come back with more later because I'm finna order some of this expensive A room service because I'm hungry and I don't feel like leaving my room to eat! LMAO

I do want to say though, that vocally Beyoncé did not disappoint. This is what has kept me a fan of Beyoncé over the years. When you strip away all of the foolishness, the drag queen antics, the costume changes, etc. Beyoncé is a vocalist of a different caliber. It was made clear to me last night, that you can't compare her to a Whitney Houston, or a Mariah Carey when she could still sing, Beyoncé is in another category all by herself as a vocalist. Not that she's better than Whitney or Mariah, (she IS better than Mariah at her prime though I'm sorry I had to say that! LMAO) but that she is on another level. She takes excellent care of her voice, and she has a level of vocal control that is unparalleled. The studio doesn't do Beyoncé any justice. She needs a properly recorded live album. What I had forgotten about Beyoncé is how well she can arrange a song vocally! She excels at vocal arranging, truly. She re-arranged all the songs in both subtle ways, and in dramatic ones. It was greatness pure and simple. Beyoncé is the premier entertainer of my generation. Much like there can never be another Michael Jackson, there can never be another Beyoncé. God has truly blessed this woman with an immense portion of the gift of song. I hope that she remains appreciative of it and continues to grow as a vocalist, because God also blessed her with amazing room for continual growth and improvement. I honestly didn't expect Beyoncé to impress me with her vocals because I'm already well aware that she can really sing, but no, she was even better than I could've hoped she would be.

She was able to emote so flawlessly, I'm still in awe of the whole experience. I wish I had the DVD right now!!

Thanks to the fan who shared this obviously fantastic experience with us.
